16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (2 Corinthians 6:16).
To say that God is with us is to only begin to describe the relationship that exists between God and the believer. It is more than just God being with us, God in the person of the Holy Spirit, indwells every believer. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit sustains, comforts, and strengthens God’s people in all situations and all circumstances. The Holy Spirit is the seal of the covenant between God and His people. This is a foreshadowing of the coming time when we will all be in the presence of the God of all glory and majesty forever. He is our God, and through grace we are His people.
