2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower (Psalm 18:2).
There is no position of weakness when we are under God’s care. There is literally nothing that can come against us. There is nothing before or after God and therefore He is the foundation of creation, and the author of our salvation. Consider these words from Psalm 18: rock, fortress, trust, horn of salvation and high tower. These words are authoritative and permanent in nature. Nothing about God and His sovereignty is either ephemeral or wishy-washy. God is everlasting and decisive. When we trust God, we can rest assured that the trust is well founded and placed.
