1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour (Revelation 8:1).
The profoundness of this verse should not be lost on us. On the scale of good to bad from 0-10, the 7th seal is a 1000. There is just no ‘sunshine’ here (literally). The wrath of God is poured out full-strength on a world that is in rebellion against God. We should take solemn warning from these verses in Revelation and the warning should cause us to wish to warn others of the consequences of rebelling against God. God is holy and His justice is above all our human comprehension. We are currently in the age of grace and it is therefore now that we should respond to God’s call to repentance. We should respond while there is still time.
