15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-16).
Paul is reminding us to act in a way that is wise. To be wise is to follow God. We are to follow God, in time, that is to say, that each day we are live according to God’s way and according to God’s wishes. We are too often made aware that there is evil in the world. The only action that will ever have any lasting effect on the problem of evil in the world is to obey God. Obedience to God leads to goodness, peace and redemption. The primary act of obedience is submission to God. Submission to God is possible as a result of faith, and is eternally effective against the evil that is too often present in this world.
