We have talked a lot about people being witnesses for the Gospel but these verses indicate that the Creation around us is also a witness. God sustains the Creation and part of His sustaining involves blessing. It should be evident from the seasons, the organized cycle of planting and harvest, the provision of rain and sun that there is a powerful Creator. This Creator God has sustained the Creation from the beginning. The physical regeneration of the Creation during periods for example of springtime is a powerful metaphor for the spiritual rebirth that occurs in Christ.
