This exchange is between Christ and Satan. Interestingly, Satan tries to trap Christ with scripture. But he takes it out of context and ignores the true meaning. Christ, on the other hand, responds with scripture in context and emphasizes the importance of the Word of God. Remember too that Christ is the living Word of God and the true Bread of life. We should live by and through Christ.
