7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Matthew 7:7-8).
It is God’s will that all people that call upon Him will receive faith in abundance. If we seek God earnestly and with our whole heart, He will open the door of salvation to us. But God does not force Himself on us; we must seek Him. While it is true that God draws people to Himself and that without the assistance of God no one would come to saving faith, we still must respond to God by seeking Him. So, when God calls on us to respond to Him, we must respond in faith and in so doing we will be granted the everlasting saving faith that we ultimately seek and need.
