14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God (Ezekiel 14:14).
Salvation is individual in nature. God through His sovereign grace calls people to be in relationship to Himself. We are not saved by the faith of our relatives, friends or even our nation. We are saved by the righteousness that is given to us individually as part of God’s saving action. It is very important to pray for all to be saved, but it is equally important to realize that it is God, in relationship to the individual, that saves. Our God is not a detached unmoved mover but rather a personal God: personal in creation, personal in relationship, and personal in restoration. God calls us by name.
