27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:2728).
The return of Christ will be clearly visible by all that are present on earth. This is good news to those that follow Christ, since in Christ is redemption. Scripture is unequivocal; that it is through Christ that ultimate redemption occurs. And in this passage Christ is reminding us that there will come a time that He will return in power and glory. This will be very different from His first coming, were He was born in an obscure, almost unnoticed manner. The second coming will be in conjunction with cataclysmic events. But Christ reminds us that it is to Him that we are look and abide, and this should be without fear.
