7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever (Psalm 12:7).
God guarantees the preservation of the saints. Inherent in this is the idea that God’s sovereign actions are responsible making sure we are kept. Additionally, this preservation is permanent. Even though this preservation is permanent, because often circumstances in this world may be trying, it can be very difficult to trust that God will keep us. But that is exactly what He does. The promises of God are irrevocable. This should be very comforting to us, for no matter our circumstances, God will provide.
