5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day (Psalm 25:5).
It is God’s truth that should lead us. Truth is really all about the correct frame of reference. So, am I saying truth is relative, then? Well, no, but I am saying that our recognition of truth is relative. We cannot see what we do not recognize. It is then in the recognition of truth that we come face-to-face with the author of truth. But it is God that draws us to the truth. God is truth and it is from God’s sovereign perspective that we can come to know truth. The Psalmist says that he waits all day on God. The Psalmist is waiting for God to lead and teach him the in the truth. The leading and teaching by God causes salvation to be effective. Salvation is wholly then an action of God.
