11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say (Exodus 4:11-12).
Moses did not want to do what God was commanding. One important aspect of God’s sovereignty however is that it will not be thwarted. So, when God commands, whatever is commanded will occur. God is absolutely sovereign over the Universe. Any attempt on our part to ignore, defy or otherwise deny the sovereignty of God, is in the end, futile. It is futile because it is God that created us, and His power over His creation is without bounds. We, like Moses, can choose to obey willingly or face the reality of God acting without us to accomplish His will. We are the ones that lose when we don’t do things God’s way. However, and perhaps more importantly, when we follow God, we are blessed. He will equip us to do whatever is required.
