Adam and Eve were made for each other. This was God’s design. So connected are husband and wife, that in the case of the first couple, Eve was literally made from a part of Adam. Remember from the previous discussions that God’s purposes are evident both from His commands and His designs. God’s design decrees the purpose; the purpose is for Man and Wife to work as one.
