These verses come immediately after Christ’s teaching on how to live. The Believer’s way of life is supposed to be different. The difference is that we follow and do what Christ commands to be done. What is done is therefore a sign of true belief. The signs of true belief will at times be in conflict with the world. This conflict is not for conflict’s sake but rather is a result of obeying God.
