11And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the blind? have not I the Lord? 12Now therefore go, and I will be thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say (Exodus 4:11-12).
This passage in Exodus is a personal exchange between God and Moses. Moses doubts his ability to do what God is commanding. God’s response is illuminating to our topic of God as Creator. God reminds Moses that He is well aware of Moses’ limitations, since He made him. God Himself will provide for Moses. God as Creator is also Sustainer. There is really no separation between the attribute of creator and sustainer. And God’s sustaining is very personal. This should be of great comfort to us, the God who created us, sustains us. The challenge to us is to obey His commands. We should do so, since the Creator sustains.
