27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Matthew 6:27)
There are many things in life that we simply cannot change or control. When we try to control and change things and circumstances that are beyond our ability to do so, we are not trusting God. The purpose of trusting God is to benefit us. We benefit when we trust and rely on God because the burden of worry for us is no longer present. God knows that we wish to control too many things, and he pleads with us through scripture to let go of the things that are beyond our control. When we are concerned about anything, our best course of action is to turn to God in prayer. God will provide according to His will, and what He provides is sufficient.
