Immediately after the flood apparently all people desired to live together. There was one language and so all communicated without difficulty. This would seem to be a good thing. After all, there was likely a lot of uncertainty in the world after the destruction of so much and so many. But as we will learn in the verses that follow, no matter how good something might seem, if its’ purpose are not focused on serving God, it will not come to a good end.
