9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).
Christ is God. This fact should make us drop to our knees. The time is coming that all will bow before Christ. The only question that remains unanswered is whether each individual will do so willingly. But He is Lord regardless of individual choices and He commands worship. The choice that is made in life is undoubtedly high stakes. And I side with the great mathematician Pascal when he coined his wager, “…Let us weigh up the gain and the loss involved in calling heads that God exists. Let us assess the two cases: if you win, you win everything: if you lose, you lose nothing. Do not hesitate then: wager that he does exist”.
